The work on offer by Andy Warhol is a richly colored reinterpretation of Sandro Botticelli's "Birth of Venus" from 1482. By dispensing with the full-figure reproduction of the Renaissance original, the focus is entirely on the face of the goddess of love. Along with the "Marilyn Monroe" series, the "Birth of Venus" is considered one of the most famous creations by the Pop Art master Andy Warhol.
